Keegan's Breakfast

This morning, we all woke up starving and neither Mike nor I wanted to cook.  So we decided to go out for breakfast.  Before we got up to get dressed we asked Keegan what he'd like for breakfast to which he replied very clearly, "Bacon, eggs, toast."  He repeated these three breakfast items all the way to the restaurant and when the waiter asked what we'd like Keegan spoke up, "Bacon, eggs, toast."  That's exactly what Keegan got for breakfast and he enjoyed every bite.  Talk about a kid that knows what he wants.

Father's Day

These are my tired boys after a day of playing in the water and the hot sun.  Here, we're all on our way for some pizza, Mike's requested dinner.

But this is how our day started.  We plugged up the sprinkler toy and played in the backyard.

The water kept us nice and cool, though the sun was scorching.

Keegan and Mike have a water gun fight.

Keegan's lounging on his new float in his new pool.

After lunch, he enjoyed a fruit pop and then a nice long nap.  We all had such a nice day together.

Potty Training Begins....

One of my goals is to have Keegan potty trained before the new baby comes.  So I went out and bought all these cute little pairs of undies for him.  He was very excited about them and wanted to wear them right away.  Here he is modeling his "Thomas the Train" undies.  Unfortunately, no pair stays dry too long and I've spent more time cleaning up accidents than handing out rewards.

But we're going to keep trying and hope he'll get it real soon.  Please pray for Mommy.

Off to Kentucky

Mike went on a fishing trip in Florida so Keegan and I headed up to Kentucky for the weekend.  Bubbles were a big hit with Keegan during this trip.

It was pretty windy out so all he had to do was hold the wand up and the wind did all the work.

While we were there, we got to take a tour of the GE plant which is where my sister, Susan works.  It was family day at GE.  Here's Keegan with his equally cool cousins, Craig and Wade.

Wade with Keegan's fireman's hat on.

Keegan with Craig and Wade, but this time without the shades.  Craig was Keegan's big buddy over the weekend.  Craig couldn't leave the room without Keegan following right behind him.

Here are a couple of short videos I took to send to Mike while he was in Florida to give him an idea of what Keegan was up to.

A Day at the Zoo

Mike, Keegan and I went to the zoo to spend the first part of the day.  It was very hot so before we left, Keegan and I cooled off in the fountains.

I'm trying to keep Keegan from getting completely soaked but it didn't work.  He eventually just sat down in the water.

Keegan's focus was on the sea lions this time.

I did not make Keegan sit for this picture.  I just happened to snap it at the right time.

He sate here for a long time watching them.

He also enjoyed riding the carousel.  "Hi, Momma!"

After this, we enjoyed a snow cone together.

Here's a short video of Keegan chasing the sea lions.  I only caught the last part of the chase.

Baby Update

On June 5th, we had our monthly OB checkup.  It was pretty uneventful except for hearing the baby's heartbeat via doppler which was at about 15o bpm.  This is the first time Mike has gotten to hear it.  You could also hear the baby moving past the doppler.  Doctor said all is well and he has absolutely no concerns.  We're doing well.  Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers with this little one.

Memorial Day Backyard Fun

My baby boy and me.

Keegan playing in the water sprinkler.

Nani and Keegan - she'll probably kill me for this but I thought it was such a cute picture.  He was soaking wet climbing up in her lap.

Aunt Sue Sue showing off a hat she bought for my great-grandmother.

Keegan jumping in and out of his pool.  It was a very hot weekend and we bought this for Keegan to play in.

Peepers now models the hat.

Keegan about to take another dip.

Keegan Goes Fishin'

One afternoon, Mike decided he wanted to go fishing.  So we bravely packed up some things and set off for the nearest lake.

Keegan shows me just about all of Mike's tackle.

Keegan didn't understand that you have to sit and wait for the fish to bite.  This is very hard to do when you are only two years old.

This was actually on the way to the lake.  Cool dude.

Keegan's pole doesn't actually have any line in it.  So he's pretending to sit and fish which lasted all of 1 minute, I think.

Some more pretend fishing.

Mike shows Keegan what they're using for bait - good ole worms!  My favorite....

Taking a juice box break.  We didn't catch a thing on this trip and though it wasn't terribly relaxing for Mike or me, I think Keegan had a really good time.

Our little crab at the RJ Young Crawfish Boil.  Some of our friends came down from Nashville to help put on a great party with lots of good food.

Here's the man in charge.  Kyle, originally from Louisiana, demonstrates how it's done.

Keegan went for the hotdog.

Our Future Chef?

Caught this picture as Keegan was obviously closing his eyes.  However, it was too good not to post.  We went to our friends' house and Keegan feel in love with the kitchen set his friend, Aleksandra has.  That's all he wanted to play with.

Here he is cooking up some grub.

I couldn't believe how long he actually wore the apron, oven mitt and chef's hat.  Think we might have a future chef on our hands.
