Winter Storm 2010

The Memphis area started out with freezing rain and sleet, as you probably saw in my previous post. It then turned to snow, but not for long. It quickly turned back to ice. Not much fun for the kids, but made for some cool pictures.

Keegan had to get out in it anyway, though we tried to explain there would be no snowman today. He, of course, kept falling because it's just solid ice but he'd quickly exclaim, "I'm okay!" terrified we'd make him go back inside. Presley didn't get to enjoy the ice skating. We were fairly certain she wouldn't be able to walk around at all and it was just too cold. So she napped.

I took several pictures of the pine trees in our backyard. They made great pictures, in my opinion.

Keegan with a mouthful of ice. We had to drag him back inside. The poor kid would have frozen out there if we'd let him. So while it's nice to look at briefly, we're now ready for it all to go away. Winter is not our thing.

The Storm Moves In

A little of what we're experiencing here in Memphis this morning. Pure ice so far.

They are expecting more of this and then snow on top of it. Keegan is THRILLED! I'm sure there will be more pics to come.

Our Little Scribe

Keegan has been practicing for a while now but he's really learning how to write all of his letters. He picked up on it very quickly without much help at all. He's quite the little scribe. We're so proud of him!

Sweetness

These are always the sweetest moments - when Keegan and Presley find something to do together and enjoy one another.

Kitchen Dance Party

This was a lot cuter when Presley didn't know I was watching her, but still it was worth sharing. Presley is an obvious music lover and also loves to dance. Anytime there is music, she will dance.

Our "BIG SNOW"!

Well, it snowed as promised but only a fraction of what they predicted. Still, Keegan HAD to get out in it.

This is Presley's first time out in the snow. She thought it was fun at first and then quickly decided she'd rather be warm.
