A Little Backyard Fun

We played in the backyard since the weather has been so nice.  Mike grilled some chicken and corn and we had dinner on the back porch.  Here's Keegan having a little strawberry shortcake.

Presley hanging out with Daddy.  Can you tell the kid has never missed a meal?

Keegan, hamming it up for the camera.

Arlington in April 09

We went to Arlington in April and had a great time.  The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day to be outside and enjoying our community.  Presley was wiped out by all the fun.

Keegan is riding the Boogie Train.  He really enjoyed that.

Presley taking in the crowd.  I think Mike's starting to get nervous about having a daughter because people stopped him all day long to tell him how beautiful his little girl was.  While flattering, I think overprotecting might happen sooner than we anticipated.

Keegan played the clothespin game - you try to drop the clothespins into a jar.  However, Keegan really didn't get what was so hard about the game.  He'd just bend over and put the clothespin in the jar.

One of the all time favorites - the slide.

And of course, we had to sit in the fire truck.  It was a good time!

Presley's First Sippy

I decided to try out the sippy cup with Presley and at first she really didn't know what to do with it.  But once we dabbed a little juice on the end of it she was off and running with it.  She loves apple juice!  She should - I drank it by the gallons with both pregnancies.

New Additions

We go to the pet store to buy dog food and we came home with 3 fish.  Actually, we had been talking about getting Keegan a fish for a while, but really intended to wait until after we took our family vacation so we didn't come home to dead fish.  However, Keegan wanted them right this minute.  He's three.

He's very proud and excited about his new pets.  He's named them OJ, Juice and Momar.  I have no idea so please don't ask.

Keegan feeding his new pets.  Let's hope we don't have replace any of them too soon.

Sweet Potatoes!

She loves them!  She's very excited about eating new foods.  Yet, she still wants to nurse around the clock.  Go figure.

Presley is 4 Months Old!

On Easter Sunday, Presley turned 4 months old.  Very hard to believe!  Along with turning 4 months old comes our first taste of cereal.  The doctor said she's perfect - of course, we knew that already.  She weighed 15 pounds, 7 ounces and is 25 1/4 inches long.  She's in the 90th percentile for height and weight.  She got 3 shots and one oral vaccine which made her really mad but it didn't last long.  She was a brave little girl!  Here are some pics of her first taste of cereal.  She's really not too crazy about it right now.

Happy Easter!

Keegan is digging into his Easter basket full of goodies.

Miss Presley doesn't really know what to make of her basket.  But here she is in her Easter dress ready for church.

The kids and me.

Handsome Keegan in his Easter clothes.  ready to start the day.  I think we had a nice holiday!

Happy Birthday, Mike!

In the middle of the Easter weekend was Mike's 37th birthday.  Miss Presley is giving Daddy some birthday love.

Coloring the Easter Eggs

This is the first time Keegan has colored Easter eggs.  He actually did a really good job.  I was expecting a HUGE mess!

Presley is concentrating on the Easter egg coloring process, anxiously awaiting the time when she's big enough to do so herself.

Keegan carefully places his egg in the color of his choice.

Then he wanted to apply stickers to his dried, colorful eggs.

See, Mommy?!

Keegan finished product!  A big success!

Arlington Easter Egg Hunt

Mike, Keegan and Presley taking a break from all the mayhem.

Our little town of Arlington had an Easter egg hunt which we took Keegan and Presley to.  I think Keegan really enjoyed himself.  Here, he's inspecting his goods after the hunt.

Keegan just finished hunting his eggs and he's on his way back to me to take inventory.

On the hunt!

Waiting in anticipation...

Presley just hanging out with her daddy, watching all the chaos.

The Jumparoo

We got Presley a Jumparoo - something we never got for Keegan but probably should have.  This is her first time in it and she wasn't real sure about it at first but she's warming up to it quite a bit.

All Smiles

Presley is usually in a good mood.  She's such an easy baby.  But she was particularly happy this day so I decided to snap a couple of pics to document the occasion.  She was all smiles during our photo shoot.  She's already learned to accept having a camera in her face.

Presley's First Time in Church

We finally made it back to church which was Presley's first time ever.  I realized after we got there that I had taken pictures of Keegan on his first church day so I had to do the same for Miss P.  I didn't know that Mike was also taking a picture of me.

A Day at the Mall

Presley all worn out from shopping.

Keegan riding the train.  He has to ride every time we go.

So Presley got a little on the fussy side  so I put her in our Baby Bjorn.  Keegan told me was tired and wanted to ride.  However, Mike and I never bought a double stroller thinking that we'd wait until there was a need for it.  Guess there is going to be one in our future because Keegan got so tired of walking in the mall that he climbed up into Presley's carseat and curled up and fell asleep.  It was pretty funny seeing this 3 year old squished into an infant seat.  Poor kid.

So we go into the bookstore and Keegan says he wants to read something.  He walks over to the magazines and this is what he picks up.  I couldn't help but to laugh out loud.

The mall wouldn't be complete without stopping to let the kids play at the indoor play area.  However, the mall has ruined it for the parents by adding these rides right outside the play area.  As if we didn't have a hard enough time trying to keep up with our kids, they are now running outside the area to jump on these rides.  THANKS!

Keegan and Jack riding in the race car.

Keegan surprised me by asking to go see the Easter Bunny.  This is a picture of the picture taken and the sun is glaring on it but I'm just too lazy to scan the original in.  You get the gist of it.  I couldn't believe he wanted to sit on his lap and Presley really could have cared less.  She'll go to anybody as long as she can see me close by.
