Happy 4th Birthday, Keegan!

Yes, Keegan has already had his party and presents, but today was the day he was actually born. So we tried to make the day a little special for him. The kids started off the day by playing really great together.

Presley and Keegan enjoying a movie and their Santa hats.

Presley loves Keegan's bean bag chair. She tried to push Keegan out of it several times.

And succeeded. She enjoys her snack in big brother's chair.

Keegan asked for pizza for his birthday dinner so we loaded up and headed out to our favorite pizza spot. It didn't disappoint.

Then we headed home for one last piece of birthday cake.

Presley enjoyed a bite or two of big brother's cake. We also had the kids' doctor appointments this day. Both are completely healthy. Presley weighs 21.5 pounds and is 30 inches tall. Keegan weighs 42 pounds and is 41 inches tall. Presley got 5 shots total but only cried for a minute. Keegan, on the other hand, got one shot and a finger prick and acted worse than his little sister. I practically had to lay on top of him to get the job done. Poor kid. He's still having nightmares.

Here's a short video of Keegan blowing out his candles on his birthday. ENJOY!

Our Elf on the Shelf

Mike and I got Elf on the Shelf for Keegan and Presley for their birthday. Keegan named our elf "Gaston" - we have no idea. Anyhow, Keegan thinks this is the greatest thing. When he wakes up, the first thing he does is look for Gaston's new spot. He's spent lots of time on the website playing games and learning about Santa and the North Pole. I think when Christmas is over, Keegan will be sad to see Gaston go. Mommy and Daddy will also. Gaston has been a great influence since he reports directly to Santa. ;)

Starry Nights

Mike and I took the kids to Starry Nights - a big deal here in Memphis. Shelby Farms, one of our parks, puts up tons of Christmas lights and you drive through the park to see the show. Keegan has money in hand to pay for our entrance into the park.

Presley actually fell asleep before we got into the park.

A not so great, but rare pic of Mike and me.

It was cool to see and I think Keegan really enjoyed all the lights.

Happy Birthday, Keegan & Presley!

Our baby girl is one today! Hard to believe that she was born a year ago. Time has certainly flown by.

And Keegan is soon to be four! Again, hard to believe.

Keegan was so excited for his birthday party, he was counting down the days. When the day finally arrived, he almost uncontrollable. Presley just went with it. She had no real idea of what was going on.

Keegan's cake - turned out SO good! I'm always impressed with Kipp's cakes.

Presley's cake and hat - again, super cute!

We lucked out and scheduled the kids' birthday party on the day that Santa was coming to the Children's museum. Keegan was stoked!

Presley, not so much.

But she was excited about pizza and cake.

Keegan and his friend, Connor.

Having some pizza.

Keegan and his cake.

Everyone singing happy birthday to Presley. Again, she has no idea what's going on.

Presley with her cake.

She was pleasantly surprised to see the whole cake was hers.

She loved it! She made a pretty good mess. So fun to watch. Not so much fun to clean up.

The whole family celebrating together.

Daddy helping the kids open some presents.

Keegan showing off one of his gifts.

Presley playing with one of her gifts.

Then it's off into the museum to play. Keegan is doing a little fishing in the river.

Presley shopping at the neighborhood Kroger.

Nani helping Keegan scan his groceries.

Keegan playing a little dress up.

And then the sugar crash.

When we got home, the kids got to open their Christmas presents from Grammy & Gramps.

Presley's favorite part of the museum was the dancing room. Here she is breaking it down!

Extreme Christmas Lights

While driving home one night, we went through one of our favorite neighborhoods to see the Christmas lights and stumbled upon this awesome Christmas light show. Keegan loved it! Presley even took it all in. It went on for several songs and cars were lined up to see. Here's a glimpse of the show.

Christmas Cookies

Keegan has been asking since the beginning of the season if we could bake Christmas cookies with red sprinkles. I'm not sure if he saw this on TV or what, but he asked everyday if we could bake them. So off we go to baking! Keegan rolls out his dough...

Chooses a candy cane cookie cutter and begins cutting out the cookies....

Now is he and his sister wait patiently while the cookies bake....

Now we decorate the cookies - with red sprinkles of course!

The finished product!

Yummo!

Keegan shares his creation with his baby sister. We had a great time baking together!
