Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend prooved to be a great holiday with many firsts for Keegan. He is learning to use a sippy cup for the first time. He kept reaching for our glasses and water bottles so we thought why not?! He's actually pretty good with it. But when he actually gets that sip of water, it surprises him a little.

It was also Keegan's first time in a high chair and our first time eating out with Keegan. The high chair lasted about 2 minutes and then he was done with it. He can't sit up very well on his own yet so he kept sliding over to one side.

I tried to pacify Keegan in the restaurant with his first cracker. He liked it pretty well but like all things, this didn't last very long. Nani ended up taking Keegan to the window to look outside. He doesn't like to sit for very long. He gets this from his father.

Finally, a good long nap after this big weekend.

Mike's Turbo

Here she is...our 1990 Mazda Miata. Mike has wanted to put a turbo in her since we bought her the week we got married in January 2003. Keegan and I bought him a turbo for his birthday.

Mommy's Monkey

Keegan's diaper change just wore him out.


So after a short nap on the changing table, the monkey business begins... Keegan has started scooting himself down in his bouncy seat. If you try to sit him back up, he'll scoot right back down. I don't know if it's just because it's more comfortable for him or because he's trying to get past that fat belly to his feet. So now we can't take our eyes off of him for fear he'll scoot right out. We can't buckle him in because he's um.......well, too big. The straps won't let out anymore.

5 Months Old!!

Keegan is now 5 months old. Mike and I can't believe it! Time is flying.

He still doesn't like to be on his belly much so rolling over doesn't seem to be in our near future.

But he does like to sit up with a little help and loves to stand up with help. We've lost our ability to just sit and enjoy holding him. He wants to be moving around as much as possible.
He's enjoying new foods, laughing out loud, and even enjoys bath time now!

He wasn't real sure about the carrots at first....

Mother's Day

I wanted to lay around in my pj's with my boys and watch movies for Mother's Day so that is exactly what we did.

Keegan and I rolled around in the floor for a while.

We did go to church and then got take-out from Cracker Barrel. It was yummy!

Keegan got me a bird feeder and some bird seed. I had been wanting one for a while to put in the backyard for all of our birds.

It was a great day! It was over WAY too soon!!

Walker Fun!

Though it's still a little early, we started putting Keegan in his walker. He likes it for short amounts of time.

His feet almost touch the floor....

He's so interested in every little thing. Nothing gets by him.

Nani & Peepers come to town!

They bought Keegan a mobile & he loves it!

To Opry Mills for some shopping. Mike gets to try out his new toy - the baby pack. He's wanted this thing forever & he & Keegan love it. Mommy not so much because Daddy wouldn't share. But when it came time for Keegan to eat, Daddy wasn't quite equipped for that.
