Sleepy Eating

On this day, we had an unusually late lunch. Keegan is trying his best to stay awake and finish eating but it proves to be a bit difficult.

A Bit of This and That

Keegan's playing with his sticker that he earned for going pee pee on the potty.

Keegan tried to wait for Daddy to get home but just couldn't hang. He's snoozing really good.

Having a little popcorn with Daddy.

I think we were watching Spongebob.

Here is a video of Keegan watching America's Funniest Home Videos with Mike.

Tea Time

We went to our friend, Bethany's house to play a bit one rainy afternoon and Debbie and I got sucked in to playing Xbox. (Thanks so much, Bethany, for the not so flattering picture, by the way). I noticed that Keegan was being awfully quiet in the other room. So I got up to check on him and he was sitting at Rylee's table playing with her tea set. Daddy would be so proud!

Tea anyone?

Keegan Fun

These were actually taken the same day of the Germantown Festival, but taken with my phone and getting them off my phone on the computer is a bit of a pain. So these are a bit late getting posted. Keegan is having a snack in Daddy's office.

Helping Daddy out with some important paperwork.

Posting some notes - on Daddy.

After we left Mike's office, we drove around a bit and found a great little BBQ place for dinner. While eating dinner, it started raining and Mike encouraged Keegan to splash in the puddles and play in the rain.

While it was fun watching Keegan play and explore in the rain, the mom in me had a hard time watching him get wetter and wetter and dirtier and dirtier knowing we had no other clean or dry clothes to put on him. By the way, the shirt he is wearing WAS brand new and it's ruined. He'll never wear it again.

Here's a short (very short) video of Keegan walking through the puddles. My phone takes video but only very short ones.

Chaos!

Our friend, Debbie had a playdate at her house. So Keegan and I went to play with his friends and make some new ones. There were quite a few people that showed up so it was complete chaos!

Keegan takes a break on Mrs. Debbie's lap.

Let's play "find Keegan"! I played this game ALL afternoon. The kid can disappear quicker than anything.

Germantown Festival

We went to the Germantown Festival which is a pretty big deal around here. It was so hot but we had a good time. Keegan's favorite part was the little petting ring set up for the kids. Here, he's loving on a bunny.

Hi, Mom! I'm so HOT!

Memphis Zoo

Keegan and I went on a playdate to the Memphis Zoo. This is the first time Keegan has been to a zoo of this size. He enjoyed himself. Here he is in the butterfly garden watching the butterflies fly all around him.

One landed on Keegan's shoe.

Then the same butterfly landed on my hand. It followed us outside of the butterfly garden.

Keegan really liked the polar bears. They put on a show for him.

Here Keegan checks out the sea lions. He enjoyed them as well. We had a great time and look forward to going back real soon.

Gulf Shores

So we took our first family vacation to Gulf Shores, AL and had a terrific time. The weather was gorgeous and we really enjoyed taking Keegan to the beach for the first time. I'm only posting a fraction of the pictures I took. I took over 100 pictures in 5 days time. These are just my favorites and there are TONS. They are out of order as usual but at least I got them posted!

This was actually our last night there. I was so happy to actually have made it into a few pictures with my son.

Before we started home, we took Keegan to the zoo. He really loved it but would have loved it even more had it not been so hot. This was the hottest day of the trip. His favorite part was getting to feed the animals. He wanted to feed ALL of the animals - even the tigers and bears. But here he feeds a sweet, docile donkey.

After our nightly strolls on the beach, we'd rinse the sand off of Keegan in the sink.

After going nuts over all the other kids' floats, Daddy ran down the street and bought Keegan this boat. He loved it so much, he actually fell asleep in the boat drifting around in the ocean. This was the best nap he took the whole trip.

After his nap and some lunch, he's ready to take his boat back out in the water.

Keegan and I play in the sand.

He's obviously use to the ocean waves now. He got very brave toward the end of the trip and we had to keep him from diving right in.

My boys enjoying the ocean.

Looking for shells.

We ate at LuLu's - owned by Lucy Buffett, Jimmy Buffett's sister. They had a huge sandbox and toys for the kids to play with while waiting for a table. Keegan loved it.

Keegan finds Mommy another shell.

Taking a rest, getting a little sun.

An evening stroll on the beach. Keegan destroyed someone's sand castle.

Mommy actually made it into a picture!

Our first night in Gulf Shores. Keegan has no idea that there is a huge ocean just to his left.

On our way to the beach for the first time.

Keegan's first time on the beach. He was thrilled to be walking around without restraint.

First time in the ocean. It scared him a little at first because the waves were crashing on the shore and the noise was a little intimidating.

Playing in the largest sandbox he's ever seen!

Here's a short video of Keegan playing in the ocean for the first time.

Miscellaneous Pics

This is Keegan's new friend, Aleksandra. She and Keegan are about the same age. They play very well together.

We bought this chair at Target thinking Keegan might like it and he sure does. He is watching Blue's Clues in his new chair.

Joe's Crabshack Fun

Mom and Dad came down for a visit. We went to Joe's Crabshack for dinner thinking it would be fun for Keegan and it was. He enjoyed playing in the sand.

He also got a balloon airplane.

Little did we know that it was probably the biggest thing we could have had her make and Keegan was whacking all of us with it while we tried to eat.

Then we enjoyed a little line dancing by the employees... AND Keegan.
