301 moved permanently

For Memorial Day weekend, we decided to head to Pickwick Lake and spend a few days with nature. Little did we know we'd come across this guy. He was one of several snakes we saw in the road while driving around one night. Mike said it was a rattler but I wasn't about to get close enough to find out for myself. He actually got out of the truck to take a picture all the while I was yelling for him to get back in the truck. Turns out, this guy was injured - probably run over and was missing part of his tail.

Creepy....

Unfortunately, it rained alot of the time we were there. Keegan and Mike are running back from the pool in a sudden burst of rain.

But we did have some breaks from the rain. Presley gets a chance to put her toes in the water for the first time.

It didn't last too long because the water was FREEZING! So Presley and I stayed out of the water while Mike was forced to endure it for Keegan.

Keegan ready to jump in with his new swim vest. By the end of the day, he was swimming on his own. The vest just helps him out a little but he has to do a little work to keep himself completely up out of the water. He did a great job and had so much fun!
