A Zoo Day

Though it was cloudy and misty this day, it was the perfect day to head to the zoo. So that's just what we did with our friends, Carla, Jack & Baby Marshall (due to arrive in December). It wasn't hot at all so it was extremely pleasant for us and the animals were much more active as well. Keegan's checking his map to decide where to go first.

Keegan and Jack check out the prairie dogs, always a big hit.

Watching the gorillas... I think these might be Keegan's favorite.

This was a new exhibit - The Birds & Bees. Our little bees, Keegan and Jack got to see bees making honey.

Then they went into the bird sanctuary and got to feed a plethora of parakeets. Here they are with their feeding sticks waiting for birds.

I'm not sure where this face came from but it's too funny! Presley wanted to grab the birds. Keegan shows her his bird from a safe distance.

All this stuff to see and do at the zoo and this is probably the most fun they had the whole day. All they really need is a mud puddle to be happy.

Taking a rest after seeing the polar bears.

Presley crashes after having her first few tastes of a snow cone. She's got orange lips to prove it.

Keegan wanted up on this cow and then quickly decided he didn't want to be up there any longer. He can't stand not feeling in total control. I don't know if he thought this "cow" was going to run off with him or what.

Keegan sitting in an egg. Not real sure what kind of egg this is, but it was fun for him nonetheless. It was a great day at the zoo!
